Our GOD of all GRACE

Dec 8, 2023

1 Peter 5:10. - “But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

[11] To him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.”

God’s grace is eternal. It was applied when God decided to create man. His perfection does not necessitate the creation of man. He is complete without humanity. Therefore, grace is a divine attribute that allows us to live and enjoy what we do not deserve.

Divine Grace is present in eternity. He has made eternal life possible for mortal beings like us. He has declared rewards to the faithful and opportunities to reign with Christ in His coming kingdom. We are all undeserving of His favor. For God to make His grace available to us for eternity is truly amazing!

Not all believers recognize the wonderful grace of God. When we suffer while we are faithful, we think God has abandoned us. We have forgotten that to suffer for Christ’s sake is a privilege and a blessing.

1 Peter 4:12-14 - “Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: [13] But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. [14] If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.”

God knows when we suffer for His sake. Our text says, “…After that, ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.” It is a blessing that God has a wonderful purpose for those willing to suffer for Him. God will turn all the evil intentions of the adversary into abundant blessings.

God's amazing grace has provided us hope that even when we go through difficulties in His time, we will be perfect, established, strengthened, and settled. “weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. (Psalm 30:5)

Like the Apostle Peter, let us declare with utmost gratitude, “To him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.”

Our Prayer for today:

Lord, we are constantly troubled when difficulties and suffering come to us. As a result, we start to doubt and question your intention for us. We humbly ask you to remind us of your grace that through many nights of weeping, tomorrow comes your joy.

Please help us to trust your intention and the process that we all have to go through to enjoy the glorious outcomes. Like Peter, we give you our praise and thanks. In Jesus Name. Amen!
