GOD WILL MAKE YOU SECURE

God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect. He maketh my feet like hinds' feet : and setteth me upon my high places.

2 Samuel 22:33-34

Have you ever seen a deer spring over a fallen log? Their cloven hooves and dew-claws give them the traction they need to easily traverse a forest landscape. They can leap over surfaces that seem slippery or dangerous without the fear of falling.

Some of the challenges we face in life make us feel insecure and doubtful. Our fears tell us that if we take a wrong step, we’ll fall into danger, temptation or even further into doubt. But there’s good news. David used the feet of a deer as a reminder of the assurance and strength God provides. His assurance and direction powers us to do whatever we’re called to do. He exchanges our slippery feet—our doubts—for the deerlike feet of the overcomer. And the best part of all is that we don’t have to do anything in our own pitiful strength.

Need assurance? Call on the Lord. Then get ready to take on any terrain! 

GOD’S PROMISE TO ME:
