GOD PROTECTS YOU IN TEMPTATION

1 Corinthians 10:13

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

It doesn’t get much better than this! Not only does God care about our needs and concerns, but here’s a promise that says our faithful God cares about our individual temptations.

Satan is a powerful adversary. He knows our weaknesses, and he deftly fashions temptations that are just what we desire. Think of it: custom temptations. But God promises that no temptation will ever be too strong for us to resist; he will always show us a way out.

We will face temptations every day. We can pray to God and hold on to his promise that he will help us resist every temptation and escape from it. 

GOD’S PROMISE TO ME:

• I will be faithful to keep the temptation you face from becoming too strong for you to resist.

• When you are tempted, I will always show you a way out.

MY PRAYER TO GOD:

It’s a tough world out there, Lord, with temptations lurking around every corner. You don’t promise to protect me from temptation, but you do promise your help in resisting temptation when I face it. Thank you for your promise that no temptation will ever be so strong that I can’t stand up against it. Amen.
