GOD GIVES YOU THE SHOES OF PEACE

Ephesians 6:14-15

Stand therefore, and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

No armor is complete without the right shoes. Roman soldiers had special shoes that allowed ease of motion and protection for long marches.

Believers need special shoes too, the shoes Paul described as “preparation of the gospel of peace” When we put on these shoes, we are ready for any battle because we are completely at peace, knowing that we are already on the winning side. This is “peace of God, which passeth all understanding,”” (Philippians 4:7).

When Satan tries to disturb our peace with his temptations, troubles, trials or accusations, we must have on the shoes of peace. We must trust in the Good News. That peace can override whatever Satan throws our way. 

GOD’S PROMISE TO ME:

• You will be able to stand firm and be fully prepared when you wear shoes that are the gospel of peace.

MY PRAYER TO GOD:

You have promised, Lord, that we can stand firm if we wear the right armor. Today I choose to have my feet “fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.” I praise you for giving your people the gift of peace. I know that I can be fully prepared for battle, being assured that victory will always be mine in Christ. Amen.
