GOD HAS MOVED INTO YOUR LIFE

2 Corinthians 1:21-23

Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts. Moreover I call God for a record upon my soul, that to spare you I came not as yet unto Corinth.

Could any living soul pen a theatrical masterpiece to rival the works of Shakespeare? Most folks don’t even know what “iambic pentameter” is! But what if “the spirit of William Shakespeare” could somehow reside in you and write through you? Suddenly the impossible would become possible.

The same principle is true in the Christian life. Can we balance our lives? Can we live as we should? Can we exhibit godly qualities when life goes haywire? Not a chance, unless God lives within us.

Guess what? He does! At the moment we put our faith in Christ, God places his Holy Spirit inside us to give us the power to live as we should.

Are you confused? Frustrated? Tired? Ready to throw in the towel? God’s Spirit is in you. He will help you when you turn to him for help. 

GOD’S PROMISE TO ME:

• The ability to stand firm comes from me.

• I have commissioned you.

• I have identified you as my own by placing my Spirit in your heart.

MY PRAYER TO GOD:

Father, most of the time I feel weak and overwhelmed. But you are the one who gives me the ability to stand firm for Christ. You created me for yourself and called me to yourself. I want to yield to you and follow your lead. I want your power to flow through me today. Fill me with your Holy Spirit. Amen.
